Family Sessions

HOW IT WORKS

A full Family Fun session is always – yep fun…. but also quite relaxed. We don’t like to rush things so we can capture natural portraits and smiles. Once we have agreed a location, in Eastleigh or surrounding Southampton, Hampshire, a date and time, we have a wander and a play. Possibly bringing out the bubbles and I take some shots.

Any Family Fun Session is £95.00

This covers the cost our photo session and is paid in advance

Sessions last 60-90 minutes and your family photos will be ready to view within a few weeks.

You can then view your images on your personal on-line gallery where you can choose your favourites with the below packages.

Keep an eye out for my mini sessions – set days for smaller sessions for a taster or a great gift.

YOUR FAMILY SHOOT

You have full creativity with your family session. Here, Kirsty wanted to have the shoot in the garden of their new home with her beautiful children. The swing was perfect for MUMMY AND ME shots.

Portraits of our children are so important! How many of you and your children do you have that aren’t selfies? carefully taken and then edited to make sure you all look fabulous?

Let me know what you would like – I love getting creative, we can go for a walk in your favourite park or go somewhere that means a lot to you, these are special photos so I want it to be perfect and personal to you xx

I have a shot list in my head -family altogether, just the children, individual portraits of your children and then you and your partner! Most say, the last time they had some of just the two of them was their wedding day! So I love photographing these too and making the kids squirm when you perhaps have a kiss 😉

NEWBORN + BABY SESSIONS

Aah the delight of a newborn baby in the home. Whenever I go into a home with a new baby it’s always calm, warm and has a certain relaxed feel about the place. You’d think the opposite wouldn’t you? Oh I do I love it, plus I get some cuddles, mine are so big now – I’ll come just for the cuddles….

What to Expect with your baby session

These slower pace sessions take place in your own home. That way you you can relax, you have everything you need.

These session are guided by your baby, I never rush and if it takes longer then so be it 🙂

I just need a nice big window and if you have it, a nice bedroom to take some shots in.

Your gallery will consist of various portraits of each parent with their baby and as a family, including any other children you have.

Then, I love taking the details of your baby, those tiny hands against your fingers and their little feet, usually cupped in Daddy’s hand.

Lastly, I will try and take some shots of just your baby as they are, if they are comfortable, laid on the bed or a lot of the time sleeping in your arms or over your shoulder, naked if they allow.

These session last 60-90 minutes so that we can take out time, have feeding time and cuddles to calm them down if they start to cry because if we are moving them about they tend to grumble a little.

Though I am based in Bishopstoke, Eastleigh, I travel all over for these sessions in your home. from Bournemouth to Portsmouth and all over Hampshire

YOUR QUESTIONS

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have before or after your session, here are some of the more common questions:-

What if it rains?

Being in England we are used to a bit of rain, but if it pours then we can chat about a new date and time and your deposit is moved with no extra charges.

WHAT should we wear?

For outdoor family sessions, wear something comfortable. Go for colour and a matching seasonal colour palette for the whole family is great. Ask me if in doubt.

Try to avoid logos (unless it’s Chanel or something lol) but sports logos and trainers I would try to stay clear of. Of course, this is your shoot so it’s up to you – these are just suggestions.

If we are going out in the Autumn, boots and coats are probably best, even wellies just look fun! plus we get to jump in muddy puddles.

How long will our images take?

Generally your images takes a couple of weeks for me to edit. I take quite a few hundred images. Then I cull these down to my favourite 40-50 and once I’m editing each individual image I cull these down to 30 or 40 images, taking out any similar images so that you have a good range of photos to choose.

How can we print the images?

Once you receive your on line gallery to view your pictures and decide which package you would like you can still print the images you have purchase through the cart in the gallery. But, you can also print them from any printers you choose once you have downloaded them. Colours and quality differ between printers and ordered from another printer I have no control over the quality.

Can i change some pictures?

Of course, you received your on-line album, there will be a mix of colour and black & white images. if you would like some changed back to colour or some converted to black and white just let me know.

Your gallery is up for 6 weeks, so just make sure your required changes sent before then of of your gallery time.

Additionally, if there is something you don’t like in the images talk to me about some Photoshop work to take something out or something like an image zoomed in, things like that, just ask 😉
