I was first contacted by Louise’s mum Carey who was helping to organise the wedding and had opted to help out with the photography side of things? I also was then contacted with regards to photographing all the details and the questionnaire that I ask all my couples to fill out for the wedding day. Therefore, I should have known from the start that this was going to be a close family affair. And they certainly didn’t disappoint!
I met Louise and Tom and their beautiful little girl Freya for their engagement session which was at the park next to their wedding venue St John’s Catholic Cathedral!! yes VERY impressive! it really was a beautiful place to get married and surprisingly cool given how how to the day was!
Whilst everyone went to the reception we stopped off on Portchester Hill in their surprise wedding present car (again from the Amazing Aunty Sarah), everyone needs an Aunty Sarah 😉 and took some scenic pictures.
Bridal preparation was a fabulous affair at Aunty Sarah’s house with all her 3 bridesmaids, one of which was doing the makeup. Where I also met the Hair Dresser who had helped Aunty Sarah for her wedding some 10 years ago? – If i remember correctly, please correct me Aunty Sarah… so hair was done by Andrew Pearce of The Hair Dress sir who was also laughing and joining in with the morning laughter.
The ceremony was well, just beautiful!! and then when we got to the reception venue at the D-Day Memorial Hall, Southwick all the grandparents and Grand Uncles and Aunties were in full throws of organising the food of Traditional English Afternoon Tea which was set off with their amazing live singer, performing all golden oldies, touched with her red lipstick! reminded me of a world war 2 movie.
Anyway, I could go on but just what a lovely family fueled wedding day this was!
