How would I describe Amy & Mike? Fun, Energetic and FULL of Love!

When they told me they wanted to have a beach wedding I instantly knew I would love photographing them and their wedding! What a beautiful setting they had too for Bournemouth Beach. I never knew you could marry on the beach here? did you?? With the help of Beach Weddings Bournemouth their beach wedding dream came true!

They stayed at the Highcliff Marriott Hotel  which was beautifully set above the marquee and up the cliff accessible by the age old Edwardian Funicular Lift built in 1908. It’s great fun if you’re visiting for the children if you go there and have a ride….

Bridal preparations were lovely and relaxed with the girls chatting and getting about the ceremony and party to come! Amy had two dresses for the day! A beautifully sophisticated white dress and the reason she wanted a second for the evening? so that she could dance the night away with her new husband, friends and family without the restriction of the ceremony dress that would let her raise her arms because of the delicate sleeve – Love that!! she was definitely planning to party the night away!! Her second dress was a wonderful sequined affair, all be it elegant and simple – perfect for a beach wedding.

Amy made her own bouquets out of various bright coloured silk and manufactured lilies and other flowers.

Luckily I had a chance to capture some photos of Mike down the beach all ready and having a few pints with his friends and family at Hot Rocks Restaurant opposite Bournemouth Pier.

The ceremony was in a huge marquee right on the sandy beach with a cute little beach hut at the end for signing the registers.

The ceremony was just beautiful and Mike couldn’t take his eye off his bride the whole time! rightly so, as Amy was just stunning!! as were her 4 bridesmaids and their matching bouquets.

Once the ceremony was finished, outside were various beach games and cocktails awaiting the newlyweds and beach guests. Here we had some lovely group photos with views of the Beach in the background.

I then took the newly wed couple down the beach to get some classic beach shots with the famous Bournemouth beach huts in the photos and to give the couple some privacy and Out of the wind 😉  a walk back along the beach and some more mingling with the guests and they were ready for the speeches and food! Burgers and salad, lovely fajitas and the deserts!!! well let’s just say the Banoffee Pie was the BEST I have ever had! amazing! making me salivate just thinking about it…. ha ha

Speeches were wonderful, and the father of the bride was just awesome talking about his little girl. Brought a tear to my eye for sure!

The evening was just as romantic with a lit fire-pit supplied by the venue, deckchairs and the obligatory blow up flamingo.

Thank you so much to Amy & Mike for letting me be a part of your wedding day and to capture your amazing wedding. It is always a privilege and an honour.

Thank you, Love

Minah xx
